Everything that is planned for the children from the summer graduation to the magical christmas events is done with care, thought and lots of surprises for the children and us parents! ” We knew from the moment we visited Littluns that this was the right place for Aimee. At just 10 months we wanted her to be in an environment that was ‘home from home’ and Karen and the team provide the best set up. All the team are amazing & each takes the time to get to know the child and their personality. The genuinely care and take time to ‘play’ with the children. The children are always laughing, smiling and having fun whilst in a structured learning environment and the best part is they do all the messy play there! The learning journals show just how much they put into their development and the little extras (arts & crafts for special occasions, panto, christmas parties and summer graduation make it really special. You know its a great place when your little one is constantly talking about everyone. As parents we get regular updates, coffee mornings and mum/dad’s nights out. “As soon as we visited Littluns we knew it was the place for us. Samuel’s daddy works in childcare so he knew what to look for and what is important from a professional point of view and Littluns does more than just tick the right boxes. The staff are FANTASTIC at their jobs and genuinely care about each and every child. They encourage their development in all areas according to individual needs, whilst making sure the children have lots of fun. As parents, we go to work knowing our son is being looked after in a safe, clean, happy and homely environment which is truly unique! “As new parents we were confused & bewildered by childcare options (& lack of them) available to us. We feel so fortunate to have found Littluns – a hidden gem that isn’t advertised nor has a board – which has surpassed all our expectations. Max was 7 months when I returned to work & Karen & the team made a stressful & anxious time so much easier with regular communication about his progress during the vital first few weeks. It was clear from the very start that he gets so much out of his time here and it is blatantly obvious the girls really care about their profession & care about what they are doing – a real difference from other places we visited. They take a genuine interest in Max’s development and encourage him to be independant, build upon his social skills and advance his vocabularly constantly. Karen has created a real family feel to the setting & we were made welcome from the offset. The ‘Mum’s Nights Out’ are a lovely touch & all the extra details over the Christmas period (where else can you find real-life reindeer visit a nursery?) make Littluns a truly special place. Littluns is a very professional childcare setting but what sets it apart is the warm atmosphere Karen creates. “We feel so blessed to have discovered Littluns, just under 2 years ago. We had been looking to move our son who was at another nursery as we had become unhappy with the care. The minute we stepped inside Littluns and spoke to Karen, both myself and my husband were convinced this was the place for us! We had to wait a while but it was a wait we were more than happy to make. From day 1, Littluns has felt like family. The varied activities, special events and trips out are amazing. So much so that our eldest son who attended a different nursery, regularly says ‘I wish I had gone to Littluns, they have so much fun there’ When we found out we were expecting baby number 3, there was no question in our mind that they would also attend Littluns, so without hesitation we booked her in even before she was born. Now both my youngest children attend and they have the best time. It is great knowing that your children are safe, well cared for and enjoying themselves when they can’t be with you. “Our son has been at Littluns since the age of 14 months and will be leaving his September to start school. He has had the most wonderful time with so many wide and varied experiences. Karen and the team always to the extra mile with their love, care, fun and enthusiasm. We’re especially grateful for all their help the last few months while Henry has been wearing an eye patch for several hours a day to strengthen his lazy eye. They’ve been amazing in the extra care in making sure he does fine hand eye co-ordination activities which is what the hospital have recommend to make the patching effective. “When your 3 year old daughter waits at the front door in the morning with her coat & shoes, you know you have been lucky enough to find the perfect childcare solution. The care & attention provided by Karen & the team is outstanding & makes Littluns a wonderful home from home for Hannah. Karen & the girls have huge amounts of energy & enthusiasm which means the children have a wonderful time. Hannah has been extremely happy since day 1 & waves us goodbye to rush off & play in the mornings. Seeing how Hannah is at Littluns and how she has thrived & developed since starting in April 2008 confirms that Littluns is a special place & not just somewhere she has to go to allow us to work. “If someone asked me to describe Littluns in one word, it would be FANTASTIC! I love it but more importantly my twin boys love it! At my first visit I instantly knew this was the place for my boys – its homely, warm, friendly and has a gentle buzz that the children thrive on. Karen & the team take each individual childs needs into consideration & treat them as little independant people. As they develop through their tricky stages, as all children do, the whole team help with feedback on dealing with situations & don’t make you feel you’re the only parent dealing with terrible 2′s. Joshua & Finley are the first twins Littluns have cared for. The team take this care seriously – researching interaction with each other & peers and the competitive natures of twins & I believe they have found a perfect balance for the boys who are extremely happy here. According to TAMBA, twins development and communication can be slower than singleton children however the boys are thriving & their development is no different to that of a single child – this is a real testament to the care, encouragement & time that the team offer. “We consider ourselves so lucky to have found such excellent childcare facilities for our two small children and are amazed that we found somewhere where the children are treated as individuals accommodating individual routines, sleep patterns, eating habits etc to ensure a smooth settling in period. The small numbers of children together with the caring staff create a loving family like environment and with all the staff getting to know your child’s preferences and habits  When you go to collect your children and the girls are bubbling with as much excitement as the children, you know they love their job and have a genuine affection for each child they look after. The facilities are spotlessly clean, homely and provide a huge range of resources as well as planned activities such as creative play, messy play, cooking, circle time and singing – the show’s the children put on are wonderful!
